God's healing touch

Sunday, February 12, 2012
6th Sunday in Ordinary Time—B

Leviticus 13:1-2, 44-46
1Corinthians 10:31-11:1
Mark 1:40-45

I come to Jesus, just as I am.

I kneel down and beg him, “If you wish, you can make me clean.”

Moved with pity, Jesus stretches out his hand and touches me.

He says to me, “I do will it. Be made clean.”

And I am. By God's healing touch, I am made clean.

  1. It is so beautiful when noted simply.

    1. Terri,

Yes, it is beautiful because it is Truth, which needs no elaboration. And it is something to be encountered--lived. So, when we read a Scripture passage, we must insert ourselves into it. Then, God's Word becomes our story. And our lives are transformed into God's Word.
