Today, June 2, the monastic community of Saint Meinrad Archabbey elected its 10th abbot, succeeding Archabbot Justin DuVall, O.S.B. Fr. Kurt Stasiak, O.S.B., was elected and takes office immediately. Fr. Kurt had been serving as Prior under Abbot Justin.
The abbatial blessing is anticipated to
be on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, in the Archabbey Church. The Most Rev. Joseph
Tobin, CSsR, archbishop of Indianapolis, will preside. More details will be
