By now, you are likely aware of the recently completed renewal project involving Saint Meinrad's beloved Monte Cassino Shrine about a mile away from our main campus. A lot of much needed work was done, and the results are quite stunning. If you have ever visited the small chapel (the first sandstone structure completed by the original monks of Einsiedeln when they arrived in southern Indiana from Switzerland in the mid-19th century), then you have one more reason to stop by again. It is truly a beautiful and sacred place. Please see the video above by Catholic News Service, which was on hand to record the re-opening/blessing of the shrine a couple weeks ago.
